2018 SEP 27: TC 02P(LIUA): déjà le 2nd système de l'Hémisphère Sud...

2 systèmes numérotés par le JTWC avant la fin de Septembre pour l'Hémisphère Sud: pas si fréquent.

2018 SEP 27 0612UTC SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE(SHEM): early activIity
2 numbered tropical cyclones(TCs) are already recorded by the JTWC for the 2018/19 SHEM cyclone season.
TC #01S and now TC #LIUA 02P.
The SHEM season runs from the 01st July to the 30th of June of the following year.
The main season extends from November to April.
On average JTWC numbers 6 "early" TCs from July to the 31st of December.
But some seasons do not obey the rules and are very active very early on.
Based on recent JTWC data 2 seasons spring to my mind:
1998/1999: 2 TCs before the end of September. 10 TCs before the 01s of January!
1996/1997: 3 TCs before the end of September. 13 TCs before the 01s of January!
The 1989/1990 season had 3 numbered TCs before the end of September but only one of them was analysed at least at 35knots(minimal TC level).
